Tullio, founder and Director of Waste Reduction Group Inc., has over 20 years experience in the waste management and recycling industry.
He began his career as a University of Toronto student starting and organizing various environmental groups and committees and taking on summer jobs in the same field and working for NGOs, the Ministry of National Resources and the Ministry of Environment and Energy. In 1994 he completed an honours degree in Environmental Sciences.
Tullio has completed both the Sales & Management courses with Dale Carnegie Business Group and has a College Certificate in Environmental Entrepreneurship from Niagara College.
After working a few years in the public sector, specializing in waste management and environmental services, he moved to the private sector where he worked in sales, and later progressed to General Manager of a medium sized private waste management firm in Toronto where he implemented countless recycling and waste reduction programs for various private and public sector clients.
In 2001, Tullio incorporated Waste Reduction Group to better service local businesses and the public sector who wanted to be the best within their industries at recycling and reducing waste.
Tullio has given presentations on waste management and recycling at York University, the University of Toronto and the City of Toronto, to both academic and facilities staff. He has also supervised several 4th year independent research projects for credit on waste and recycling at The University of Waterloo, and University of Toronto, and has worked with countless other student groups on various projects over the years.
In his spare time Tullio enjoys ice hockey, ball hockey, soccer and running, and has organized various company teams and charity running events. Tullio also enjoys traveling listening to music, and the great outdoors.
Renata has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Fashion Design and a Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from Ryerson University. Renata has also completed a sales course at the Dale Carnegie Business Group.
Renata began her career in the fashion industry as an assistant designer for a manufacturer that provided apparel to a major retail chain. Renata went on to become a Brand Manager at Hudson’s Bay Company where she was responsible for the design and overseas production of a multi-million dollar national brand. During her time at HBC, Renata increased the quality of the brand as well as increasing sales and making end profits.
After 5 years, Renata made the transition to the waste management and recycling industry looking for work that would be more fulfilling by making a positive contribution to the environment while utilizing her management skills. Renata has enjoyed the change immensely and is enthusiastic about working with customers and solving their problems.
In her spare time, Renata enjoys reading, exercising, and shopping, particularly for shoes.
Renata has been involved in the management of the company and more recently, has been focusing on developing new business opportunities.
